TSM replaces Team Spirit at BetBoom Dacha

“We are forced to announce that our Dota 2 roster will not be able to participate at BetBoom Dacha in full. Therefore, we have decided to decline participation in the tournament,” Spirit announced, thanking the organizers and wishing the other teams good luck.

Following is the final list of eight teams competing at BetBoom Dacha:

  2. BetBoom Team

  3. 9Pandas

  4. Team Aster

  5. Quest Esports

  6. Beastcoast

  7. TSM

  8. Nigma Galaxy (online qualifier)

Despite Team Spirit's announcement, it did not mention which players are unable to attend the event. Recently, the team won the Riyadh Masters 2023, earning a whopping $5,000,000 in prize money.

Seven teams were invited to BetBoom Dacha, with one seat reserved for an online qualifier conducted from 7th to 13th August 2023. A total of eight teams were invited to the qualifier, and the finals came down to Nigma Galaxy and Level Up, with the former coming out on top with a 3-0 triumph.

A group stage round will be followed by a double elimination playoff bracket at the LAN tournament. Only the top four teams will get prize money, with the winner receiving $150,000.

The BetBoom Dacha acts as a welcome third-party LAN tournament between the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) 2023 season's last Major and The International 12 (TI12).

Nigma, Team Aster, and Quest Esports will have some match practice heading into the tournament as they are competing in TI12’s qualifiers in August, while the remaining four teams, who have already qualified for TI12 and are on a break, and will aim to experiment and implement new strategies in the recently introduced patch 7.34.
