GDAI Releases Roadmap for India’s Gaming Industry

The Game Developers Association of India (GDAI) has released a white paper outlining strategies to position India as a competitive player in the global gaming industry. Titled “Indian Gaming Opportunity: A Holistic Incubation and Ecosystem Development Roadmap,” the document emphasizes building a gaming ecosystem focused on incubation, education, and policy reform.

Key recommendations include creating institutions for gaming education, funding early-stage startups, and streamlining government policies. The paper also highlights the potential of gaming beyond entertainment, citing its role in innovation and economic growth. To implement these strategies, GDAI has signed agreements with state governments and universities for skill development and research, alongside partnerships with industry bodies such as the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry.
