ELITE League SEA Closed Qualifiers 2024: Schedule, Results,& Other Details

A brand new Dota 2 tournament is kicking off on 12th March with the regional qualifiers thanks to a significant collaboration between FISSURE Studio, tournament organizer ESB, and BetBoom. Called the Elite League 2024, this tournament is scheduled to run from 31st March to 14th April.

With a staggering prize pool of $1,000,000 USD up for grabs, the Elite League 2024 promises fierce competition as teams vie for the prestigious championship title.

The tournament will feature twenty-four teams representing seven regions worldwide, including Eastern Europe (EEU), Western Europe (WEU), China (CN), Southeast Asia (SEA), Middle East and North Africa (MENA), South America (SA), and North America (NA).

While some big teams like Gaimin Gladiators, Team Liquid, Xtreme Gaming, and BetBoom Team have made it safely to the main tournament through Direct Invitations, other teams have to go through rigorous regional qualifiers.

The SEA region is one of the most innovative regions, with a gameplay thats native to no other, SEA doto is a delight to watch. In the SEA region, Carlo "Kuku" Palad's Team Darleng, that made waves during the ESL One Birmingham 2024 SEA Closed Qualifiers, is making a return and vying for one of the two spots. Eight teams are fighting from the region for a crack at the lion's share of $1 Million prize pool of ELITE League

Featuring eight teams, the Southeast Asian (SEA) closed qualifiers have four teams joining the qualifiers through direct invitations, two teams coming from the open qualifiers #1 and two more teams from the open qualifiers #2

Format

Participants

• Ten teams from closed qualifiers will be seeded into the Swiss stage (group stage 1)

• Six teams invited are seeded into the Swiss stage (group stage 1)

• Eight teams invited are seeded into the round-robin stage (group stage 2)

Swiss Stage (Group Stage 1) - 31st March - 4th April

• One modified swiss-system of sixteen teams

• All matches are Best of 3

• The top eight teams advance to the round-robin stage (group stage 2)

• The remaining teams are eliminated

Round-Robin Stage (Group Stage 2) - 5th April 5 - 11th April

• Two single round-robin groups of eight teams each

• All matches are Best of 2

• The top two teams from each group advance to the upper bracket of playoffs

• 3rd-4th place teams from each group advance to the lower bracket of playoffs

• The remaining teams are eliminated

Playoffs - 13th April - 15th April 

• Double-elimination bracket

• All matches except the Grand Final are Best of 3

• Grand Final is Best of 5
