Miposhka Discusses Team Spirit's Form in 2024

Team Spirit battled hard to reach group stage 2 of DreamLeague Season 22 and it is now in the middle of the points table as it tries to qualify for the playoffs. During one of the recent series in group stage 2, Spirit's captain Yaroslav "Miposhka" Naidenov discussed the challenges the squad has faced in recent times. In his assessment, the team did not have the best preparation time leading into DreamLeague Season 22, which was further exacerbated by the team's middling performance at BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024 a few weeks ago. At the same time, Miposhka noted that Spirit is performing better as it gathers more match practice.

Spirit had just a few days of preparation before DreamLeague Season 22 began which made things tough, especially after its ideas at BetBoom Dacha did not pan out resulting in its 5th-6th place finish at that event.

“We really didn't have very many days of preparation. We played for, I don't know, two or three days, plus we had some things to do. Not that we were totally focused on the workflow. At BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024 we didn't do very well either: the ideas we came up with didn't work very well, so we had to rebuild, come up with something new.”

While there may be a problem with ideas not working out in DreamLeague as well, confidence is being built up as more time is spent in the games.

“And at DreamLeague Season 22 we're constantly facing this, that the heroes we want to pick don't work as well as we'd like, and we have to come up with something again. But I think the more we play, the more we have confidence in some of the picks and heroes. I think we feel a lot better now than we did before DreamLeague Season 22 started than we did at BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024 too.”

As one of the most successful teams in recent years, Spirit has been known to be a relatively slow starter, but one that peaks just around the most important tournaments, which usually take place during the business end of the competitive season.

Miposhka and his teammates will currently be focused on finishing in the top four in DreamLeague Season 22's group stage 2 and qualifying for the playoffs. If it happens, Spirit tends to become a much stronger version of itself, making it one of the more formidable teams.
