PSG Quest Parts Ways With kaori, Welcomes Dukalis to Round Out Dota 2 Roster

As roster changes within the Dota 2 ecosystem begin to take place at a faster pace, PSG Quest has released its position five player Oleh "kaori" Medvedok. Shortly after Quest announced the departure of kaori on its social media handles, it announced the inclusion of former Team Tickles member Andrey "Dukalis" Kuropatkin as its new support player. Kaori departs the organization after being with Quest since its Dota 2 roster was compiled in late 2022. The roster move follows several unsuccessful attempts to qualify for tier one tournaments in 2024 and a 5th-8th finish at Games of the Future 2024.

PSG Quest changes position five player ahead of Elite League

“With mixed emotions, we part ways with Kaori – a dear friend and teammate. Throughout our journey, from Bali Major to Riyadh Masters, and the grand stage of TI, Kaori's positivity and remarkable spirit have been integral parts of our quest for greatness. Thank you, Kaori. Until we meet again on the battlefield,” Quest wrote on Twitter and revealed Dukalis an hour later without much anticipation.

The Dota 2 roster of PSG Quest comprises the following players.

  1. Aybek “TA2000” Tokayev

  2. Tony “No!ob” Assaf

  3. Abdimalik “Malik” Sailau

  4. Omar “OmaR” Moughrabi

  5. Andrey “Dukalis” Kuropatkin

Since joining in late 2022, kaori had been an integral part of the roster through the highs and lows, with the highlight being his fourth place finish at Bali Major 2023 and 7th-8th place finish at Riyadh Masters 2023.

On the other hand, Dukalis arrives from Team Tickles and has had a turbulent past year in terms of roster stability, having changed teams four times in 2023. However, he is one of the most promising position five players right now and is placed eighth on the Dota 2 MMR leaderboards, making him the top ranked hard support.

Meanwhile, despite being unable to qualify for BetBoom Dacha, DreamLeague Season 22, and ESL One Birmingham, PSG Quest reached the grand finals of the MENA qualifiers where it was defeated by Team Falcons which turned out to be the best team in 2024.

Therefore, the team might be much more competitive than it currently appears, and it will be fascinating to watch it perform in Elite League. Quest has received a direct invitation to the Swiss Stage, which will eliminate the need for qualifiers this time around.
