KRAFTON Introduces Dolby Atmos Audio to Enhance BGMI Experience

KRAFTON, the developer of Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), has announced the addition of Dolby Atmos immersive audio technology in select game modes, including Arena and Team Deathmatch. This update will be available to players using Dolby Atmos-enabled Android devices, marking a new step in the evolving sound design of mobile gaming.

Seddharth Merrotra, Head of Business Development at KRAFTON India, emphasized the role of sound in gaming, stating, “Sound plays a crucial role in the gaming experience, and introducing Dolby Atmos to BGMI enhances the depth of player engagement.”

Dolby Laboratories, known for its advancements in audio technology, sees this collaboration as an opportunity to change how players experience mobile gaming. Sameer Seth, Director of Marketing at Dolby Laboratories India, said, “With Dolby Atmos, players can experience more detailed and precise audio, potentially gaining a strategic advantage by detecting subtle sounds like footsteps.”

Xiaomi India, a key partner in the rollout, will make the Dolby Atmos feature available on its Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G devices. Anuj Sharma, Chief Marketing Officer at Xiaomi India, acknowledged the growing demand for immersive gaming experiences in India, noting how this integration responds to the evolving preferences of mobile gamers.

Morgan, now predicting 5.5 million copies sold by March. 

Massive Price Hikes Coming: Riot Games Announces Global Currency Update

Riot Games announced a major adjustment to regional pricing for its virtual currency, with some countries facing increases of over 70%. Starting September 18, the changes will affect League of Legends, Teamfight Tactics, Legends of Runeterra, Valorant, and League of Legends: Wild Rift. Riot stated the move aims to "better balance prices between regions" and combat third-party manipulation involving VPNs and server transfers. Ukraine will see price hikes of up to 74%, while the Philippines and Vietnam will experience 40% and 41% increases, respectively. The U.S. will see no change, while Colombia will see a 16% price drop.
