League of Legends La Ilusión: Theme, Champions Featured, Price, & More

Riot Games also treats its player base to extraordinary skins when it comes to League of Legends. LoL Patch 13.18 was rolled out today on 13th September, bringing forth the brand new Street Demon skins and before even players can process this, Riot has already introduced yet another colorful collection which will be released very soon.

Called the La Ilusión skin collection, these skins will make their way into League of Legends in the next patch and they will a part of the Halloween skins in the game.

This is all we know so far about the La Ilusión skins, the inspiration for them, the champions featured, the potential price range of them, and their release date in League of Legends.

La Ilusión Skins: All We Know So Far

Introducing the new La Ilusión skins on Twitter, Riot Games tweeted, "Even in Death, these spirits continue the cycle of Life," attaching the usual preview of the skins and their recall animations.

Pivoting from the usual scary Halloween skins in League of Legends, Riot Games has opted to go for a different celebration of the "dead" this time around. The new La Ilusión skinline draws inspiration from the Mexican tradition of Día de los muertos, also called the "Day of the Dead." Families come together to honor their ancestors and the inevitability of death is accepted rather than feared during this day. A common theme during this celebration is the inclusion of colorful skulls and marigold flowers.

A total of six champions are receiving the La Ilusión skins, with one of them even getting a prestige skin from Riot Games. They are as follows:

  • La Ilusión Ziggs

  • La Ilusión Qiyana

  • La Ilusión Draven

  • La Ilusión Nidalee

  • La Ilusión Gnar

  • La Ilusión Renata Glasc

  • La Ilusión Renata Glasc Prestige Edition

However, the community was quick to notice that Milio was missing from the skinline and pointed out how well he would have fit into this thematic.

As far as the prices of these skins are concerned, players can expect all of them to cost around 1350 RP each, except for the Renata Glasc Prestige skin which will cost 125 ME in the Mythic Shop.

When Do the La Ilusión Skins Release in League of Legends?

Currently, all of these new skins are available for testing on the League of Legends Public Beta Environment (PBE) server. Players can hop onto that testing server and provide feedback on the PBE subreddit before they get released on 27th September along with LoL Patch 13.19.

It is also speculated that there could be an in-game event featuring these La Ilusión skins. However, this has not been confirmed yet. Players are very hopeful because the skins are set to release with LoL Patch 13.19, on which Worlds 2023 shall be played. So it is very likely that these skins could be tied into the part phase of a Worlds event.

With the new patch testing cycle already underway, players can expect to see official information from Riot Games in the coming weeks.
