The Overwatch 2 Anniversary Event 2023 has started and players are delighted to experience the game's first-ever birthday. There are still a few weeks left to go for the game to actually turn one year old but the celebrations have already begun and are currently underway.

Overwatch 2 Anniversary 2023 Week 1 is scheduled to take place from 19^th to 26^th September, consisting of two game modes from the past and certain challenges associated with them, which upon completion reward players with either cosmetic items, battle pass experience, or credits.

Overwatch 2 Anniversary 2023 Week 1: Complete Details

Overwatch 2 is about to turn one year old and birthday celebrations have started a few weeks in advance. For the next 21 days, multiple fun game modes from the past and useful rewards will be available for which players will be required to complete certain weekly challenges.

Additionally, a special limited-time Anniversary Shop has also been made available to all players consisting of fan-favorite skins. These can be purchased using Overwatch Coins between 19^th September to 16^th October.

Overwatch 2 Anniversary 2023 Week 1: Challenges and Rewards

There are a total of six challenges and all of them guarantee some or the other reward between overwatch credits, battle pass experience, cosmetic items, or a combination of them all.

1. Let The Celebration Begin | 5,000 XP | Echo (Highlight Intro): Dainty

   • Complete 3 Overwatch Anniversary 2023 Event challenges.

2. Festivity Follower | 2500 XP | 300 Overwatch Credits

   • Complete 20 games and wins grant double progress.

3. Winter Warm-Ups | 2500 XP | Sojourn (Player Icon): ViviAun

   • Complete 3 games in Winter Brawl game mode and wins grant double progress.

4. Party Patron | 2500 XP | 400 Overwatch Credits

   • Complete 10 games and wins grant double progress.

5. Celebration Superstar | 2500 XP | 300 Overwatch Credits

   • Complete 40 games and wins grant double progress.

6. Divine Festivities | 2500 XP | Junker Queen (Player Icon): Queeniversary

   • Earn 12 final blows in Team or Free-For-All game mode in Battle for Olympus.

Overwatch 2 Anniversary Event 2023: Battle For Olympus

The Overwatch 2 Anniversary 2023 Week 1 will be taking place from 19^th to 26^th September consisting of six challenges in total and upon completion players will be granted 1000 Overwatch Credits, 17,500 Battle Pass Experience, and Three Cosmetic Items.

Two prior game modes available for this duration are Winter Wonderland and Battle for Olympus, available under the Arcade section within the game.

Most of the Overwatch 2 Anniversary 2023 Week 1 challenges are simple and straightforward, requiring players to accomplish tasks that are literally part of the game and do not require them to do anything extra.
