Read the article to understand how to start Phantom Liberty and how much you will miss if you jump ahead.
Starting Phantom Liberty From the Main Menu
If you wish to start Phantom Liberty from the get go, all you need to do is go to the ‘Main Menu’. Select ‘New Game’ from the menu and there you’ll get the option to start from a regular game and you’ll have to make your way to Phantom Liberty. The other option will be to directly start Phantom Liberty. Not only this, but you will also be appropriately leveled up with aptly distributed Attribution Points.
You’ll be dropped into the new content at level 15 with $20,000 in cash. The DLC will begin with V, our protagonist, reading a book until he receives a call from Songbird. This kicks off the Dog Eat Dog quest.
Starting Phantom Liberty in the Main Story
If you have chosen to take the long way to Phantom Liberty, it will take around 20 hours to reach there. Players will enter the lane of new content after finishing Act 2. Players will have to get through a series of storyline checkpoints and main jobs before they can reach the DLC. These jobs in the storyline include the following:
-
Anders Hellmen - Ghost Town, Lightning Breaks, Life During Wartime
-
Evelyn Parker - Automatic Love, The Space in Between, Disasterpiece and Double Life
-
Takemura’s quests - Down on the Street, Gimme Danger, Play It Safe, Search and Destroy
-
Dealing with Voodoo Boys - M’ap Tann Pelen, I Walk the Line, Never Fade Away and Transmission
As soon as you’ll finish these quests and jobs, Songbird will contact you and kick off the Phantom Liberty DLC. You will now enter the DLC and receive a mysterious call from Songbird that will kickstart your Phantom Liberty missions.
