Free Fire India New Features: Playtime, Spending Limits, Age Limit & More

Free Fire was one of India's most popular battle royale mobile games until it was removed from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store in February 2022 under Section 69A of the IT Act. The game's ease of use, combined with the low hardware requirements required to operate it, contributed considerably to its widespread popularity.

While Free Fire Max (the HD version of Free Fire) was not banned and could be played in India, fans have been eagerly awaiting the return of the base game and its host of elite esports tournaments.

Following the ban of Players Unknown Battlegrounds (PUBG) in India, Krafton released an Indian version of the game, Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI). Free Fire fans in India were also curious whether Garena would take the same steps to produce an India-specific game with its own set of features.

Free Fire India new features detailed

Garena announced the release of Free Fire India on 31st August 2023, accessible exclusively in India beginning 5th September. Free Fire India includes one-of-a-kind content and features to promote a safe, healthy, and enjoyable gaming experience.

Here are some of the new features in Free Fire India:

Time Limit: The Indian version will include a time limit for its players. After the specified time, players will be unable to access the game. This is due to the fact that many gamers are addicted to gaming and play for lengthy periods of time without taking a break, which can be damaging to their health.

Age Limit: Players under the age of 18 will not be allowed to access Free Fire India by themselves. If the participants are under the age of 18, they will require their guardian's permission to register for Free Fire India.

Take a Rest Reminders: After a certain amount of time, the game will deliver “Take A Break” reminders.

Spending Limit: Every day, players will only be able to spend a set amount of money to purchase diamonds or other in-game currency. Diamonds are used to purchase weapons and character skins, as well as to unlock event boxes.

Toxicity Recording Mechanism: Players can now report teammates or other players in the game who are abusing them. Free Fire India has assured its users that these reports will be treated seriously and that action will be taken as soon as possible.

As the game returns after a long absence, there will be many new features added. Garena's battle royale title will return to the country on 5th September 2023, and will be accessible for download.
