Bethesda’s Starfield has gone live and many players have dived right into exploring its massive universe encompassing over a thousand different planets. Similar to the studio’s previous RPGs this game allows players to join various factions that stand as a major element in moving Starfield’s plot forward. After all, the game contains various factions spread across its vast galaxy. Considering this, many players might be wondering if they can be a part of multiple factions present in the game. Let’s jump right in and take a look at these numerous factions.
Can You Join Multiple Factions in Starfield?
Yes, you can certainly join multiple factions and take on several missions which each of them offers. Starfield’s colossal system of stars contains various factions such as:
-
Constellation
-
United Colonies
-
Freestar Collective
-
Crimson Fleet
-
Ryujin Industries
Constellation: They are a group of space explorers with an affinity to collect mysterious artifacts that will presumably paint a bigger picture as you progress through the game. The group contains a diverse group of members like Sarah Morgan, Financier Walter Stroud, and the curious Scientist Noel. You will become a part of Constellation upon completing the initial story missions as this faction plays a pivotal role in progressing Starfield’s plot.
United Colonies (UC): They are an enormous group possessing immense political power and military force. They are based in the city of New Atlantis which is located on the planet Jemison belonging to the Alpha Centauri system. After the Colony Wars, they signed a truce with the Freestar Collective although there seems to be a bit of turmoil between the two. In order to join the UC you must sign up for the UC Vanguard which can be done by meeting a representative at the MAST building in New Atlantis.
Freestar Collective: Apart from the United Colonies, the Freestar Collective is the second biggest interstellar government to exist in the settled systems. They fought for their independence from the UC in the past and currently, they have made planet Akila the headquarters for their operations. They are in control of the Cheyenne, Narion, and Volii systems. You can join them by completing a mission where you must help a Freestar Ranger who will approach you on your visit to Akila City.
Crimson Fleet: The Crimson Fleet possesses a large pirate army operating from The Key in the Kryx system which was previously a part of the UC. it is essentially a federation of pirate captains who are united under the command of a menacing pirate called Delgado. You will be provided with the opportunity to join the Fleet if you intentionally get caught smuggling contraband or if you undertake a mission for the UC where you infiltrate them as a covert agent.
Ryujin Industries: They are a huge corporation that runs its operation spanning multiple systems with their headquarters located in the city of Neon on planet Volii Alpha as part of the Volii system. Being led by CEO Masako Imada, It essentially allows players to acquaint themselves with a cyberpunk-esque corpo lifestyle. You can get involved with them, simply by hearing an announcement at one of their kiosks which triggers a mission called Back to the Grind.
