The latest patch which was released on 3rd October majorly focuses on various agent-focused bug fixes and a key rollback related to competitive matchmaking, among other things.
Here are the complete patch notes to bring everyone up to speed while they enjoy the last few weeks of Episode 7 Act 2.
Valorant Patch 7.07 - Complete Details
Valorant drops a good number of updates, changes, and additions through an entire Act, especially when it begins and towards the end of its duration. These tend to be significant in different ways or simply introduce some quality of life changes to improve the overall gameplay.
Valorant Patch 7.07: Competitive Updates
-
Rank restriction that was implemented to five stacks in Valorant Patch 7.06 has been removed.
"We know how important it is to play with your friends and your need for flexibility in order to do that."
This decision was initially taken to prevent people from illegitimately boosting to the highest ranks like Radiant. However, the developers realized that the ability to have flexibility within the five stacks was more important than the very small number of people who abuse this exploit.
This does not take anything away from the fact that boosting is a risk to the competitive integrity of Valorant and work is being done on an appropriate long-term solution that does not impact anyone's ability to play with friends in a five stack.
Valorant Patch 7.07: Map Updates
Haven

The destruction VFX for the destructible door panels located at Mid Doors/Garage has been updated in order to make it easier to see through as it falls away.
Valorant Patch 7.07: Performance Updates

Multithreaded rendering has been enabled for discrete Intel GPUs.
-
The required CPU core count has been lowered.
Valorant Patch 7.07: Bug Fixes
General
In Valorant Patch 7.06, a bug which allowed the game to output surround sound when certain conditions were met was fixed, but the surround mix was untested and unsupported.
At this point in time, the game only supports stereo and mono sound output.
-
To simulate surround sound on headphones, they offer an HRTF setting. They do not recommend combining the HRTF setting in game with other surround sound virtualization software at the same time since this will result in double processing.
-
Note that other surround sound virtualization software cannot derive surround sound information from the stereo mix.
Agent
-
Cypher
-
Neural Theft (X) now completes even if Cypher dies after casting it.
-
Fixed an issue where players could remain blinded if spectating a flash through Cypher’s Spycam (E) as the round ended.
-
-
Gekko
-
Dizzy’s (E) enemy detection range is now correctly reduced while inside of Viper’s Pit (X) ability.
-
Premier
-
Fixed an issue where the Attacker team takes priority over the Defender team in the Overtime vote.
-
Fixed a bug where a second timer bar would appear after the “Choose Side” vote had already ended.
-
Fixed a bug where certain scenarios would cause subsequent Overtime Priority votes to occur in the following round.
These are all the changes that were introduced to Valorant along with the latest Valorant Patch 7.07 which also marks the conclusion of Episode 7 Act 2.
It will be interesting to see what the developers have planned to launch along with the upcoming Episode 7 Act 3, which is not a long way away and will be released in a matter of a few weeks.
