Ghost is one of the main characters in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 (2009) and has achieved meme status after his appearance in the Modern Warfare 2 (2022) campaign. Lieutenant Simon "Ghost" Riley and John "Soap" MacTavish exchange intense glances at one point while in a vehicle with Alejandro Vargas and Rodolfo "Rudy" Parra. This has also lead many fans to wonder about who voices Ghost in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2.
Who is the voice actor for Ghost in 'Call of Duty'?
In Modern Warfare 2, Ghost's voice is provided by Craig Fairbrass. Primarily active in the UK, Craig Fairbrass is known for his performances in a BBC show EastEnders and has had multiple appearances in the Rise of the Footsoldier British film series. He has also lent his voice to other Call of Duty games as Walcroft in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 as well as Battlefield 5. His latest voice acting appearance was as Chef Zeff in the One Piece live-action.
Other actors who have voiced Ghost
While in Find Makarov: Operation Kingfish, a short film released by Call of Duty saw Andrew Randall take up the role. Ghost has also been voiced by Jeff Leach in Call of Duty: Mobile. Controversial comments by Leach saw Activision distance itself from the actor, and so it was unclear who would be portraying the character in the new version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 that is set to release later this year.
Samuel Roukin will portray Ghost, an actor and DJ who has been on television in episodes such as Agents of SHIELD and Turn: Washington's Spies, as well as in films such as Happy-Go-Lucky and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1.
Roukin came to Twitter to confirm his participation as Ghost in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, stating that he began working on the project around a year ago. Roukin thanked both Infinity Ward and Activision for the chance, calling Modern Warfare 2 "special." Fortunately, fans will soon be able to determine for themselves whether or not the game is worth their time.
Simon Riley first appeared in the 2009 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, but he's appeared in several Call of Duty games and spin-offs since then. The first time we see him, he is a member of Task Force 141, an elite special operations unit. He is easily recognizable by his skull-decorated headgear, although it completely obscures his face.
Captain Price is joined by two very recognizable faces in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, the sequel to the 2019 remake, as both Simon 'Ghost' Riley and Johnny 'Soap' McTavish figure prominently in the campaign as playable characters.
