Team Spirit Members Discuss Their Post TI12 Arcana Wishlist

This season of The International (TI) not only features some highly competitive Dota 2 action but also a whole slew of other things that players enjoy as part of the Compendium. Every year, Arcanas turn out to be the most desired cosmetic items, often released alongside or as part of the Compendium or Battle Pass. Even though Valve pushed back this year's Arcana drop until after TI12, Team Spirit members already have some ideas regarding the hero options for 2023’s Arcana. The players and support staff of the team named their Arcana wishlists, based on the roles they play, with all eight of them making different choices.

A post on VKontakte shared Team Spirit's post TI12 Arcana wishlist from its players, coaching staff, and general manager.

Starting with position one, Illya "Yatoro" Mulyarchuk chose Morphling, one of his favorite heroes. While midlaner Denis "Larl" Sigitov chose Kunkka, offlaner Magomed "Collapse" Khalilov chose Doom, which has over the past few months become his trademark hero.

Myroslav "Mira" Kolpakov and Yaroslav "Miposhka" Naidenov, the support pair, opted for Dark Willow and Ancient Apparition respectively, with the former known to express a strong affinity for his chosen hero. As for the support staff, coach Airat "Silent" Gaziev chose Mirana, manager Dmitry "Korb3n" Belov opted for Lich, and analyst Mark "sikle" Lerman had Chen as part of their Arcana wishlist.

Out of the 124 heroes available in Dota 2 currently, only 22 already have Arcanas, leaving a wide array of possibilities for the remaining to receive this prestigious item.

In the last few years, Valve has also released more than one Arcana at a time, so something similar is not out of the question. Razor and Faceless Void were the most recent heroes to get an Arcana, both of which were available as part of the 2022 Battle Pass.

For 2023, Valve revealed in a recent blog that this year's Arcana would come after TI12. “We're already working on future updates with different focuses and we know you're excited to learn more about the next big patch, and the next set of arcanas, and everything else we're working on — but that's for after the champions claim the Aegis,” it wrote.

TI12 is slated to end by the end of October 2023, and Valve will then deliver a new patch with an Arcana as well as updates on the new competitive circuit. Fans and pros may have to wait a little longer for Arcana number 23.
