Topson Rejoins Tundra Esports' Active Roster

Tundra Esports has been trying to get its composition right for the 2024 season and has undergone drastic roster changes. After disbanding the newly adopted roster from ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023, Tundra Esports brought back Topias "Topson" Taavitsainen as its midlaner for the new roster. Topson is a two time TI (The International) champion and has been playing for Tundra since September 2023 but went inactive after the disbandment of Tundra Esports' roster post TI12.

On 7th January, the organization also introduced its new position four support player Edgar "9Class" Naltakian. While 9Class is relatively new to the professional scene, he has an impressive track record. He is ranked 6th on the leaderboard of the European region. Interestingly, earlier rumors talked about Topson and 9Class’ inclusion in the Tundra Esports roster.

Tundra Announces Its Midlaner and Support Duo

On 7th January, The International 2022 champion, Tundra Esports, announced its new midlaner and its support players via Twitter. Topson, who went inactive following a disappointing run at The International 2023 with Tundra Esports rejoined the team for the upcoming 2024 competitive season as the midlaner.

9Class, the Russian player, is in a class of his own as he is one of the few support players on the top 100 Dota 2 European leaderboards.

Notably, 9Class was ranked second last month on the Dota 2 European leaderboard. 9Class will be joined by Matthew "Whitemon" Filemon, the position five support. The duo will soon be supporting Topson and two undisclosed players whose announcements we can expect soon.

According to an earlier tweet from Tundra Esports, the organization confirmed its participation at the BetBoom Dacha 2024 Dubai closed qualifier that is set to take place on the 11th January.

Earlier, rumors suggested that Topson and 9Class, along with Ivan "Pure" Moskalenko, Ivan "MinD_ContRoL" Ivanov, and Egor "Xakoda" Lipartiya, could join Tundra Esports. Since Topson and 9Class' confirmation, the rumor now has a bit more weightage to it.

However, since Tundra confirmed Whitemon’s position in its 2024 team, it is safe to assume that Xakoda may not join the team. We may still see Pure, and MinD_ContRoL joining Tundra if the rumors are true.

This suggested roster would certainly be an interesting one and fans would love to see how the team synergizes. We will very soon see the newly revamped Tundra Esports roster in action in the coming days. However, until then, Tundra Esports fans should take these speculations and rumors with a pinch of salt.
