Who is Charlotte in Genshin Impact?

Charlotte is a brand-new character who was revealed during the Genshin Impact 3.7 livestream. Her voice actor was also present during the presentation and it led players to speculate if she would be a playable character. Charlotte will debut in Genshin Impact patch 3.7 and be a part of the main event of the patch tied to the Genius Invocation Trading Card Game (TCG). Here is a quick summary of everything we know about Charlotte in Genshin Impact.

Will Charlotte be a playable character in Genshin Impact?

Currently, we don’t know much about Charlotte and more information will be revealed when patch 3.7 goes live on 24th May. She is from Fontaine, which is the next region that we will get to explore in patch 4.0 around the game’s fourth anniversary.

During a scene from version 3.7 trailer, we can see that she has something resembling a vision holder attached to her leg which means that she could be a playable character in the future patch. She will be present in the King of Invocations Grand Prix event next patch and will cover the trading card game tournament.

Her English voice actor is Maya Aoki Tuttle who has been part of games like Arknights. Warframe, Destiny 2 and Final Fantasy VII. Her Japanese voice actor is Azumi Waki who has been part of Alchemy Stars, Azur Lane, Fire Emblem Heroes and Fate/Grand Order.

We currently do not know if or when Charlotte will be a playable character. Even if she does not have a vision, we have seen non-playable characters receive visions in the Sumeru questline and there is still hope that she might get a banner in the future.

Patch 3.7 will have only one new character (Kirara) and all four banners will feature rerun five-star characters. Yoimya and Yae Miko will be available in the first-half of the patch while Alhaitham and Kazuha will rerun in the second half. 3.8 might be the last patch we get before Fontaine, which should come shortly before the fourth anniversary.
