MISERY Joins Bleed Esports as Dota 2 Coach

Ahead of the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) Southeast Asia (SEA) 2023 Tour 3: Division I, Bleed Esports has hired The International (TI) 2016 runner up Rasmus "MISERY" Filipsen as its Dota 2 coach. The Southeast Asian (SEA) organization welcomed MISERY to its roster as a replacement for Lee "Forev" Sang-don, who was released a few days ago after five months with the team. MISERY will be taking on his first competitive Dota 2 role since he last coached TSM at TI11. Following two poor seasons of the DPC 2023, the organization will be expecting positive change with the addition of the player as a coach.

“We are looking forward to achieving great results with this latest addition to our roster for the upcoming DPC season,” Bleed said in its official announcement on Twitter.

Despite the addition of a new coach, Bleed has made no change to its five man roster.

  1. Souliya "JaCkky" Khoomphetsavong

  2. Teng "Kordan” Tjin Yao

  3. Daryl “iceiceice” Koh Pei Xiang

  4. Djardel “DJ” Jicko B. Mampusti

  5. Kim “DuBu” Doo-young

  • Rasmus "MISERY" Filipsen (coach)

As a veteran of the competitive Dota 2 scene, MISERY has kept a low profile in the past few months, and as such, joining Bleed Esports in a region that he has never played in before is surprising. Last year, he was a part of TSM's coaching staff, but left after the team placed 19th - 20th at TI11. DuBu, currently playing position five for Bleed, was also a part of this TSM squad.

Bleed's performance has been quite weak in the DPC 2023. In Tours 1 and 3, the team narrowly avoided relegation as it finished sixth in Division I. The roster was revamped to include veterans such as iceiceice and DJ before Tour 2, but results did not improve.

Now that MISERY has joined the Bleed Dota 2 organization, the team has even more experience at its disposal. There are still two young core players in the form of JaCkky and Kordan who bring immense skill to the team, so it will now be all about finding the right drafts and playstyle to empower themselves.

Taking on Execration in the first series of the DPC SEA 2023 Tour 3: Division I, Bleed begins its campaign on 15th May.
