Arteezy Picks His Top Dota 2 Carry Heroes

As one of Dota 2's most popular livestreamers, Shopify Rebellion’s Artour "Arteezy" Babaev attracts numerous viewers on Twitch whenever he goes live. Though he used to livestream only occasionally, he has been going live on Twitch regularly lately. While interacting with his viewers during a recent broadcast, Arteezy answered a question regarding his three favorite carry heroes. For the player, Shadow Fiend, widely regarded as one of the top Arteezy heroes, was an obvious choice while Terroblade and Morphling were also included in the list. Furthermore, he shared his opinion on Morphling's viability as a core hero in the current patch.

Arteezy names Terrorblade, Shadow Fiend, and Morphling as his favorite carry heroes

When asked about his top three carry heroes, Arteezy, who was just starting a ranked game, opened the Heroes tab in the Dota 2 client and looked at all the heroes before settling on Terrorblade, Shadow Fiend, and Morphling as his top three heroes.

He then shared his belief that Morphling was an incredibly strong carry hero about a month ago. However, with the introduction of patch 7.33, Morphling has experienced a decline in power.

“My top three carry heroes? TB, SF, Morph. Those are my favorite. I was really happy with Morph at DreamLeague because he was in the perfect place. You could pick him up early but not super early but you can pick him and he’s not broken but he can be broken in niche places and he’s also really high skill. Morph was one of my favorite heroes. This patch though, the hero is dogshit.”

Of the heroes highlighted by Arteezy, Shadow Fiend is one that the player is hardly seen playing these days because the hero is not very popular in the meta and is mostly used in the midlane. Arteezy, on the other hand, picked it up in one Tour 3 game, when he won with a 7-1-6 KDA. Shadow Fiend was also a hero that Arteezy gained fame on when he was just starting off.

Terrorblade, on the other hand, is generally a hero who continues to be selected despite patch changes and has also proven to be one of the most popular carry heroes in this current meta, either banned or picked in the first or second round of the drafting.

Currently 2-0, with a victory against archrival TSM, Arteezy and Shopify Rebellion in the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) North America (NA) 2023 Tour 3: Division I will attempt to extend their winning run. The team's next series will be on 22nd May 2023, versus ALPHA.
