ASUS ROG Academy Season 9 Registrations Begin Soon for Counter-Strike 2

ROG Academy returned to its roots with Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) in its previous season. Since then, the game has been replaced by the updated Counter-Strike 2 (CS2). Adapting to this change, ROG Academy has meticulously planned its upcoming Season 9, which will introduce the first full cohort of CS2 players, offering them unparalleled opportunities for training and development.

Are you prepared to take #YourNextStep with ROG Academy Season 9? There's still time to decide, as registration begins on 4th February 2024, Sunday.

ROG Academy Season 9: Complete Details

ROG Academy Season 9 is dedicated to equipping aspiring esports athletes with the necessary resources to advance in their careers. The theme - #YourNextStep, reflects the program’s commitment to providing opportunities for CS2 enthusiasts who want to become professional players, and support their growth from the grassroots beginnings to major-league success.

With local and regional tournament organizers creating competitive CS2 circuits at various levels, fostering player investment, and the scene's gradual growth, ROG Academy will equip players with the tools to excel in these tournaments.

Shortlisted candidates will get to learn from industry experts and receive top-tier equipment of the highest caliber, ensuring their growth without setbacks. Additionally, a monetary compensation of INR 15,000 per month will also be provided, subject to statutory deductions.

Note: Candidates aged 16 to 18 must provide a parental or guardian consent letter.

Participants in ROG Academy Season 9 will receive mentorship from Saharyar "BaDMaN" Shaikh, retained as the team's mentor and head coach for a second season due to his proven success. With over a decade of experience as an In-Game Leader (IGL), BaDMaN has previously coached the Global Esports Female CS:GO team, leading them to victories in the South Asia CS:GO Qualifiers and a runner-up finish in the Southeast Asia and Oceania CS:GO event.

BaDMaN's expertise in identifying and nurturing young talent has contributed to the success of esports players such as Akram "Rawfiul" Virani, Prabhdeep "Ghost" Bhatia, Prish "Tricky" Valvani, and Rishabh "Ezzy" Gupta.

To date, ROG Academy has attracted over 13,000 registrations from young, aspiring esports athletes, successfully transforming 48 candidates into professional athletes. Twelve graduates have joined Tier 1 and Tier 2 esports organizations in India, participating in top regional tournaments.

Notably, ROG Academy Season 8 alumni Tejas "Seek" Agarwal and Amandeep "Arakyn" Khurana were signed by Grayfox Esports for their CS2 roster.

The last cohort also benefited from guest sessions with seasoned talents like Lukas "yb" Gröning, former Counter-Strike player and coach turned Valorant analyst for RRQ, and Sudhen "Bleh" Wahengbam, Asian Counter-Strike expert and international commentator.

ROG Academy consistently provides India's young talents with top-tier resources and opportunities, enabling them to refine their skills, gameplay, and learn from the best in the industry.
