Players on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC (Microsoft Store version) can enjoy full cross-play. This means you can team up with friends regardless of which device they're using within these platforms.

Unfortunately, Steam players cannot play with players on other platforms at this time. This includes Xbox and Microsoft Store PC players.

However, the game allows you to backup and restore your save file between the Steam and Game Pass (PC) versions of the game.

Steam

1. Open your Steam library.

2. Right-click on Palworld and choose Manage > Browse local files.

3. Navigate to the "Pal" folder, which contains the game's installed files.

4. Within the "Pal" folder, go to Saved > SaveGames to access your save files directly.

   • Alternatively, you can open Windows Explorer and enter the following address in the bar: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Pal\Saved\SaveGames

   • Don't forget to replace <username> with your actual username.

Xbox Game Pass

1. Open Windows Explorer and go to the Local Disk C:\ directory.

2. Click on "Users" and then your username.

3. Look for the "AppData" folder; if not visible, enable "Hidden Items" in the View tab.

4. In the "AppData" folder, find and open the "Packages" folder.

5. Look for a folder named "PocketpairInc.Palworld_ad4psfrxyesvt" within "Packages."

6. From this folder, navigate to SystemAppData and then to the "wgs" folder.

7. The "wgs" folder contains all the save files for Palworld’s Game Pass version.

How to Restore Save Files

1. Open the "Backup" folder.

2. Copy the desired save file you want to restore.

3. Navigate back to the save directory.

4. Replace the old save file with the backup file you copied.

5. Additionally, ensure to paste the world data from the backup folder.
