TSM Wins GSG Esports India BGMI Majors Season 1, Sayyam Named MVP

It has been over six months since Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) was banned but the competitiveness is still at an all-time high between teams. GSG Esports recently organized a massive three-week-long tournament featuring a total prize pool of INR 5,00,000 ($6,060 USD) with some of the best teams from across the country.

TSM walked away as the eventual champion of this competition following a solid performance in the Grand Finals where it won a total of five matches resulting in a total of 405 points, including 187 placement and 218 finish points.

Apart from this, Sayyam "Sayyam" Ostwal, was named as the MVP of this tournament with a total of 67 finishes under his belt, just one more than TSM's star player Shubham "NinjaJOD" Ranjan Sahoo who finished with 66 frags to his name.

GSG Esports India BGMI Majors Season 1 was split into three weeks, starting out with 30 teams which kept decreasing with each passing week. The first week was the semifinals stage, second week was the finals stage, and the third week was the grand final stage.

The last stage concluded yesterday on 23rd February with TSM walking away as the champion, meanwhile Sayyam was named as the MVP for his outright brilliant individual performance.

  3. Aadi - 40 Finishes

Week 3 | Grand Final Stage

  1. TSM - 405 Points

  2. Team INS - 393 Points

  3. Acid Esports - 329 Points

  1. Sayyam - 67 Finishes

  2. Ninja - 66 Finishes

  3. Neyo - 60 Finishes

Despite not attaining a podium finish in the first two weeks of the tournament, TSM managed to qualify all the way to the third and final week of the tournament.

Here TSM showcased a level of performance that stunned the opposition as it raced past to take the pole position, holding well and fending off other teams with a difference of only 12 points separating it from the second placed Team INS.

This is not the first BGMI tournament that TSM has won during the game's ban, having previously been crowned as the champion of Esportswala BGMI Invitational Showdown Season 1, BBE BGMI Invitational Season 2, UE BGMI Pro Scrims Season 2, and a few others events.
