Genshin Impact, the immensely popular action role-playing game developed by miHoYo, never fails to surprise its player base with exciting new characters and crossovers. One such crossover introduced Aloy from Horizon Zero Dawn as a playable character in Genshin Impact.
If you're eager to add Aloy to your roster of adventurers you'll be disappointed to know that players also can't acquire Aloy anymore. Her Constellations were also never made available and we don't know if she will make a return to the game.
Aloy’s Release in Genshin Impact
Aloy is regarded as one of the rarest characters in Genshin Impact because she was only available for a brief time as part of a Horizon Zero Dawn collaboration event. While she is no longer available, many players who did gain her may not use her to her full potential due to underestimating her powers.
Aloy is a five-star Cryo bow user with the ability to integrate Cryo into her normal strikes and unleash rapid, wide-ranging AoE damage with her Burst. Her Burst has a low cooldown and energy need, and her talent generates a large number of Cryo particles, making her an excellent quick-swap unit that can assist other Cryo characters.
PC and mobile players were able to obtain Aloy by claiming her from the in-game mailbox before the patch 2.3 maintenance on 24th November 2021. Aloy will remain in the player's mailbox for a year before expiring. PlayStation players also had a similar opportunity and were able to obtain her.
Can you still get Aloy in Genshin Impact? As mentioned above, unfortunately, the event that rewarded new players with a copy of Aloy in the mail is now over. It ran for a year but came to an end in 2022
Considering she doesn’t have constellations and hasn’t had a banner since her release, we think it’s unlikely that she’ll ever come back, especially since she didn’t appear in Genshin to coincide with Horizon: Zero Dawn Forbidden West’s release.
