How to Play MLB: The Show on PC

MLB: The Show, the video game based on Major League Baseball, released its latest edition on 28th March 2023, catering to  major gaming platforms like the Playstation 5 and 4, Nintendo Switch and Xbox Series X, Xbox Series One and Xbox Series S. However, one significant market of gamers remained isolated and was left out - the PC Gamers.

So baseball enthusiasts who wanted to play the game on PC, were left in the dust. However, this limitation has finally changed now. With a clever little workaround, the game can be made available on PCs, all thanks to Xbox’s latest cross-platform update. Players can bend the rules and enjoy the baseball game on their PCs. To make this possible, you'll need a subscription to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and the Xbox PC app, both of which can be downloaded onto your PC.

Here is a step-by-step guide on how to play MLB: The Show on your PC.

MLB: The Show, Now On PC

If you want to access MLB: The Show on your PC, the first step is to sign up for an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription. This subscription grants access to over 100 games for both PC and Xbox, but it also opens up the option of gaming through the cloud. It costs $16.99 USD per month and allows users to access certain games for free.

However, keep in mind that a stable and high-speed internet connection is essential for playing the game through this method on your PC.

Follow the given steps to play MLB: The Show on PC.

  1. Download the Xbox PC app on your PC

  2. Launch the application and sign in with your Xbox account

  3. Subscribe to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate if you haven’t already

  4. Click on ‘Cloud Gaming’ at the top left corner of the interface

  5. Scroll through to find MLB: The Show and select it

  6. A green play button will appear. Click on it to play.

While these steps help players access the game on the PC, the experience is definitely not the same. There is noticeable input lag unless you have a super high speed connection with zero to no latency. So fans continue to wait for a new update that would allow the game to be enjoyed on all gaming devices, including PCs.
