The date of the upcoming Valorant episode has been finally confirmed In a blog post by Riot Games, So, for those wondering when the next episode is dropping, the wait is almost over.
Valorant Episode 8 Act 1 will be released on 10th January 2024 at 12 AM GMT / 5:30 IST. This means that the current running episode and act will come to a conclusion on 9th January 2024.
What to Expect in the Upcoming Episode?
As anticipation builds for the new Valorant epsiode, players are left wondering what are the new updates coming to the game. While Riot Games has not shared a lot of details, a few surfacing leaks have quenched our thirst.
A New Agent?
While these speculations come up all the time when a new Valorant update is underway, this time we have some truth to them. Codenamed 'SmokeDancer', the new agent is rumored to be a part of the Valorant roster in Episode 8. The new agent is associated with a pink and purple color scheme and butterflies. It is speculated that the agent will make its way to the game during Episode 8 Act 2 of Valorant.

New Weapon Outlaw Sniper
While Valorant's current weapon arsenal is already impressive, a new weapon is coming to ignite the battlefield. The new weapon is rumored to be a sniper rifle costing 2,400 credits. It is supposedly called the Outlaw and fires two bullets at once. This is a massive innovation for Valorant, bringing a new weapon for the first time. It deals 140 damage to the body and 234 damage with a headshot.
