During a recent livestream hosted by popular streamer Janne "Gorgc" Stefanovski, professional Dota 2 player Sébastien "Ceb" Debs made a special appearance alongside Oliver "skiter" Lepko, offering insights and anecdotes from his past. As the trio settled in to watch the intense matches of the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) Western Europe (WEU) Tour 3: Division I, Ceb took the opportunity to share an interesting story about his former teammate Johan "N0tail" Sundstein. This intriguing tale dates back to his team’s pre-TI8 bootcamp, a crucial period before OG's historic victory at The International 8 (TI8). Ceb's story revolved around a specific incident that caused N0tail to become very tilted, which was linked to Mirana’s Moonlight Shadow ability.
N0tail's Tilt: The Moonlight Shadow Incident
Ceb’s story about N0tail being tilted was mainly due to the Moonlight Shadow ability, which causes Mirana and her teammates to go invisible for a short period of time.
"Actually Pre-TI8 bootcamp, we had one really bad day where n0tail - Johan, he snapped, he really lost it and it was because of moonlight shadow actually. Like the cores never carried dust and we kept being like <detection, detection> and he snapped,” Ceb said
The two-time TI winner goes on to talk about how N0tail being tilted led to the whole team getting lectures, which eventually resulted in the team carrying dusts in the future.
“He was like <you guys gotta take responsibility for the game also> and stuff, we got lectures and after that everybody had dust all the time, like 3 dusts or something and holy shit we got smacked, every team goes through this," he added.
Ceb's captivating story about N0tail's tilted moment provides fans with insights into the historic run made by OG during The International 8 in 2018. It offers a glimpse into the challenges and emotional hurdles the team faced on their path to victory. The story is an interesting one as N0tail is known to be a player who does not tilt under pressure and is often seen as a calm captain of the team, showing that every player is susceptible to being tilted at some point.
