Diablo 4’s highly anticipated 1.03 balance patch is here and it has been a pleasant surprise for fans. There are massive increases in experience gain for players and you will have a blast going through Nightmare Dungeons and Helltides. You can also get a lot more experience when completing Whispers. There are buffs to all classes across the board and if you were concerned about anything getting nerfed, fear not.
In a surprise move, none of the powerful builds in the meta got nerfed. Instead, most of the weaker skills got buffs and some of them are game-changing. Unfortunately, Necromancer minions did not get noticeable buffs but you can now make your minions target cursed enemies which is a solid quality-of-life change. Here is a rundown of all the changes from the Diablo 4 1.03 patch notes (27th June update).
Diablo 4 Patch 1.30 - Gameplay Changes
Experience Rewards

Significantly increased the experience awarded for completing Nightmare Dungeons.

Significantly increased the experience gained from killing monsters in Nightmare Dungeons.

Helltide chests now provide substantially more bonus experience when opened.

Significantly increased rewarded experience from completing individual Whispers across the board.

Fixed an issue where no experience was awarded for completing the hold out style event that can occur after finishing dungeon objectives.
General

The Helltide Roaming bosses will now more consistently drop higher-quality loot.

Players can now teleport to their Nightmare Dungeon directly through the map.

Weekly bonus caches from world bosses no longer have a level requirement for opening.
In the Diablo 4 patch notes for today (27th June) Blizzard also revealed, “We are currently working on increasing the monster and elite density of end-game content and plan to introduce this change early in Season 1.”
