You might run into the error code and the Valorant client will tell you that it failed to connect to the platform. Here are a couple of fixes for Valorant Error Code VAN 29 that should resolve the issue in case you are unable to play the game.

Valorant Error Code VAN 29: How to fix

Before you try the fixes mentioned below. Spam your WASD keys if you are stuck loading into the game. In most cases, network issues can prevent you from loading in, but the game thinks you are AFK and removes you from the game after a while. Pressing your movement keys can sometimes help you load in. But if you are constantly facing the error code, here’s what you need to do.

Allow Valorant Through Windows Firewall

1. In the Windows search bar, type Windows Defender Firewall and click on it.

2. Click Allow a program through Windows firewall.

3. Click Change Settings.

4. Remove any current VALORANT and Riot Client entries, then add a new one with the Allow another app button.

5. Locate C:\Riot Games\VALORANT\live\VALORANT.exe for the new firewall exceptions and click OK.

6. On the firewall exceptions, check all boxes for VALORANT and click OK at the bottom.

7. Repeat the above process to add an exception for our Anticheat at C:\Program Files\Riot Vanguard\vgc.exe and click OK.

8. Once more, repeat the process to add an exception for the Launcher at C:\Riot Games\Riot Client\RiotClientServices.exe and click OK.

It is also possible that your anti-virus is blocking the game. Check your anti-virus program and add the following paths as exceptions.

• C:\Riot Games\VALORANT\live\VALORANT.exe

• C:\Riot Games\VALORANT\live\ShooterGame\Binaries\Win64\VALORANT-Win64-Shipping

• C:\Riot Games\VALORANT\live\Engine\Binaries\Win64\UnrealCEFSubProcess.exe

• C:\Riot Games\Riot Client\Riot Client Services.exe

• C:\Program Files\Riot Vanguard\vgc.exe

If you do not have a third-party antivirus, you need to perform the above steps for Windows Defender.
