Reckoning Esports to Compete in Skyesports Masters

Indian esports organization Reckoning Esports (RGE) was officially announced as the fourth invited team for India's first franchised Counter-Strike Global Offensive (CS: GO) esports league, the Skyesports Masters. With a massive prize pool of INR 2 Crore, it is one of India’s biggest esports tournaments. Notably, Reckoning Esports will be one of the eight franchised teams competing in the event.

Reckoning Esports Gears up for Skyesports Masters

According to the Skyesports Masters' rules, Reckoning Esports will need to have two substitutes along with its playing five. The team is also required to add two players from cafe qualifiers that are scheduled to happen across 20 cities starting 17th -25th June. All the details regarding the same are here

RGE currently has rosters participating in various esports titles such as Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), New State Mobile, Valorant, and Counter-Strike Global Offensive. Sharang Naicker, the founder of Reckoning Esports, expressed his excitement at joining Skyesports Masters and forming a CS: GO lineup. Naicker commended the league, calling it an incredible initiative by Shiva Nandy, the founder of Skyesports. He emphasized that the tournament format is thrilling and it will contribute to the revival of the CS: GO industry in India. Reckoning Esports aims to build a team that competes at the highest level in the region and represents South Asia in global tournaments.

Shiva Nandy expressed his admiration for Reckoning Esports and its shared vision of scouting talent from grassroots levels. Nandy said, “I have immense respect for organizations like Reckoning Esports, which believe in picking up rising talent and giving them a chance to compete. I look forward to associating with them in the long term and reviving Counter-Strike in India.” 

Through this tournament, Skyesports, known for hosting prestigious tournaments like Skyesports Grand Slam and Skyesports Championship Series, the Skyesports Masters now will be another new addition to its IPs.

The Skyesports Masters is scheduled to commence on 1st July, featuring an intense league stage that will run until 17th August. The top four teams from the league stage will advance to the Skyesports Masters Playoffs, an on-ground LAN event taking place on the 26th-27th of August. With a substantial prize pool of Rs 2 Crore, the stakes are high for the eight participating teams.

Reckoning Esports will join Gods Reign, Revenant Esports, 7Sea Esports. The other four teams will be invited soon and the league stages shall commence on 1st July.
