Bon Chan Reveals Three More Filipino MLBB Talents Shall Compete in Indonesia

Blacklist International coach Kristoffer "BON CHAN" Ricaplaza revealed that three more Filipino talents will be taking their expertise abroad. According to him, some Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) teams from Indonesia are looking to acquire more players and coaches from the Philippines (PH) to fortify their own rosters. He explained that a Filipino amateur player, an ex-pro player, and a coach will be taking their skills to Indonesia for the next league season. He believes that this exodus of talents is a good way to spread Filipino culture and prove how strong the PH region truly is in the MLBB esports scene.

Coach BON CHAN hints at three Filipino MLBB talents heading to Indonesia MLBB league

In one of coach BON CHAN’s recent YouTube videos, he hinted that Indonesian teams are looking to import more Filipino imports for their MLBB rosters.

“Another player will be an import to Indonesia, but this is for MDL,” said the coach. “So yeah, in Indonesia, they are willing to import more Pinoy players even if it's just for MDL.”

Mobile Legends Development League (MDL) is an amateur league that is held with the official Mobile Legends Professional League (MPL). In MDL, esports organizations sign their amateur players and put them to the test. Some veteran players also get sent to the MDL roster due to various circumstances.

Coach BON CHAN added that a Filipino ex-pro player will also be heading to Indonesia and continuing his career in the region.

“Another one is one ex-pro player that I know you guys are a fan with. Probably, when it gets announced that he will join there, [the player] will be one of the most anticipated players,” explained BON CHAN.

There are a lot of candidates for ex-pro players in the MLBB Esports scene. These include iconic players like Christian "Rafflesia" Fajura and Carlito "Ribo" Ribo Jr. who were both inductees of the MLBB Hall of Legends. Other candidates could also be Allan "Lusty" Castromayor, Earvin "Heath" Esperanza, and Jeff "S4gitnu" Subang.

Coach BON CHAN summarized his statement by saying that the Filipino import will be “one amateur, one ex-pro player, and one coach for MDL.”.

The Blacklist International coach believes that the rising trend of Filipino imports is a healthy way to grow the MLBB esports scene and provide more opportunities for talented individuals in the Philippines.

“That’s the good thing, a lot of opportunities will open for other players, other coaches, to go abroad. They can spread the winning culture that we always do and the habit that proves Pinas is strong,” said BON CHAN.

The names of the Filipino imports are yet to be revealed. It will be interesting to see who these talents are when they officially debut in the Indonesia MLBB esports scene.
