Fortnite is known for its collaborations and the rate at which it is partnering with some of the biggest media franchises, it won’t be long until every movie, cartoon, anime, or artist you love is part of the game. When it comes to anime, the game has already collaborated with Dragon Ball Z and Naruto, and now a My Hero Academia collaboration is set to kick off very soon. Fans will be able to get their hands on brand-new skins starting 16th December 2022.
Izuku Midoriya is coming to Fortnite
The one skin we all know that is coming to Fortnite is the protagonist Izuku Midoriya. We may also get skins of deuteragonists like Katsuki Bakugo and Shota Aizawa. Major supporting characters like All Might and Ochaco Uraraka might also be added to the game.
If previous collaborations are anything to go by, the skins will be priced around $10-20 USD. There should also be some free cosmetics up for grabs along with some My Hero Academia-themed in-game content.
Only the release date of the event has been confirmed so far, so players will need to wait a couple of days until they find out which characters are making it to the popular battle royale.
Crossover events typically last around two months and there are plenty of challenges to complete for some rewards themed around the crossover franchise. Temporary in-game mechanics are also likely to be added to the game’s battle royale modes.
With three of the biggest anime franchises being checked off the list of collaborations, Fortnite continues to expand its portfolio of franchises it has worked with. From artists like Marshmello and Travis Scott to movies like John Wick, the game has earned the nickname of “pop culture singularity” by gamers and journalists alike and it is showing no signs of slowing down.
