Revenant Esports Qualify for Pokemon Unite Asia Champions League 2023

Pokemon Unite Asia Champions League 2023 is an upcoming tournament officially recognized by Nintendo. Multiple Indian teams will be competing in this tournament due to a partnership between The Pokemon Company and Skyesports.

A total of five direct slots have been granted to teams from the country, out of which one has already been occupied by Revenant Esports. The remaining four will be handed out to teams currently competing in the Pokemon Unite India Open 2022.

The initial announcement had many people confused within the mobile gaming community, a few them calling out Skyesports to know the reason behind Revenant directly qualifying for the Asian event. In response, the organizers stated "Revenant is the winner of WCS 2022 Indian National Team."

Revenant Esports becomes first team to qualify for Pokemon Unite Asia Champions League 2023

Pokemon Unite Asia Champions League 2023 is a new tournament announced by Nintendo which will be featuring teams from three different regions - East Asia, Southeast Asia (SEA), and India.

Each region will be playing out its own league which kicks off in January 2023, with the main tournament set to take place around March in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

All the qualified and invited teams will be competing for the prestigious title of being the first king of Pokemon UNITE esports in Asia, while also fighting for a piece of the $84,500 USD (INR 69,89,777) total prize pool that is split between the league stage ($25,500) and the main event ($59,000).

As per information released, five teams will be competing in the India league. The teams shall be Revenant Esports along with the top four teams from the Pokemon Unite India Open 2022, whose grand final will be played out as part of the Skyesports Championship 4.0.

For now, the Indian teams competing in this title have something to look forward to and push towards. It will be interesting to see which teams have the caliber to qualify for the India league and how they stack up against the international teams across Asia.
