KyleTzy Feels More Confident After Defeating KarlTzy in MPL PH Season 11 Week 5

Bren Esports continued its win streak in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Philippines (MPL PH) Season 11 Week 5. The squad scored a 2-1 victory over the M4 World Champion, ECHO, earning the top spot on the leaderboard with seven wins and one loss. Through a post-match interview, Bren Esports’ star jungler Michael "KyleTzy" Sayson shared how his encounter with ECHO’s iconic jungler Karl "KarlTzy" Nepomuceno boosted his confidence. Bren Esports has defeated ECHO in the regular season twice in a row and is looking to maintain its momentum and secure an upper-bracket spot in the playoffs.

KyleTzy gains confidence boost after winning a 1v1 against his idol KarlTzy

Bren Esports and ECHO are the top two teams who are competing for the number one spot on the regular season leaderboard. With the two teams clashing in the fifth week for the second time, Bren Esports proved it is the dark horse of the MPL PH Season 11 with a dominant 2-1 victory over the M4 World Champion.

While ECHO showcased an impressive performance with KarlTzy flexing his Tankcelot (Lancelot but with a tank build) playstyle, it was not enough to secure a series win against the M2 World Champion. Nonetheless, the series was considered one of the most intense out of all the matches so far in the MPL PH Season 11.

Bren Esports’ jungler KyleTzy previously shared how he idolizes ECHO’s KarlTzy ever since he was still a rookie. Now that he finally got the chance to fight toe-to-toe with his inspiration, and even defeated him with a dominant performance, KyleTzy shared how this gave him a confidence boost to aim higher.

“When I defeated him on a 1v1, I was so happy because back when I still wasn’t playing ML, Flap[Tzy] and KarlTzy were my inspiration to play ML. So when I defeated KarlTzy in the bot lane, I felt relieved because I am now competing against my idol,” said KyleTzy.

Bren Esports shall be facing Omega Esports on 19th March at 6:30 PM (PHT). It will be interesting to see if the M2 World Champion can keep its momentum going and maintain its top spot on the MPL PH Season 11 regular season leaderboard.
