While the upcoming major update shall focus on improving the gameplay for Tank champions, Riot Games mentioned that it shall deliver more gameplay changes to other roles in the game in future updates.
Wild Rift Patch 4.1 new Tank items unveiled
Through a YouTube video posted by the data miner ChowZ , the upcoming Wild Rift Patch 4.1 update shall deliver a slew of new items for Junglers and Tanks.
The first item revealed is the Flame Ember which burns nearby enemies. This item allows faster clear times and is part of the Bami’s Cinder recipe, an item that most aggressive Tanks use.
The Searing Crown is also one of the upcoming tank items in the game. This allows basic attacks and skills to burn targets and deal magic damage based on their percentage max health per second. This item deals 150% more damage against minions and monsters. The Searing Crown can be a viable item if you start with Flame Ember as it is part of the item recipe.
According to ChowZ, Searing Crown can stack its effects with Sunfire Aegis, improving a champion’s damage per second. However, this effect may be changed once the Wild Rift Patch 4.1 update arrives.
Mantle of the Twelfth Hour is another tank item that focuses on utility and health regeneration. Any damage that puts a champion's life below 35% activates this item’s passive, providing healing, slow resistance, and movement speed for a brief period.
Players should take note that the item passive of Mantle of the Twelfth Hour is tagged as “Lifeline” and will not stack with other item passives of the same name such as Sterak’s Gage or Phantom Dancer.
Amaranth Twin Guard is another Tank item arriving in the Wild Rift Patch 4.1 update. When fighting an enemy champion, gain one stack of Guardian Effect every second, up to five stacks. Upon reaching maximum stacks, size, tenacity, armor, and magic resistance is increased until the end of combat.
