Nightfall Shares His Patch 7.34 Expectations

After a good number of Dota 2 tournaments, there is now a gap before the commencement of The International 12 (TI12) qualifiers where the final teams who will play at the grandest event of the year will be determined. In this lead up, the Dota 2 community is primarily focused on the planned 7.34 patch which should bring some significant changes to the game. In a recent vlog from BetBoom Team, carry player Egor "Nightfall" Grigorenko shared his expectations for this patch. Nightfall holds some potential for something unique that Valve can add, but overall, the game is well-balanced. Additionally, he would like to see changes that would make approaching high ground much easier.

Nightfall's only major wish for patch 7.34 is easier high ground pushing

In the vlog, Nightfall shared that some additional objectives and buildings might just be the right set of changes for 7.34, given that the current state of the game allows a lot of heroes to be used and suits most competitive teams.

“I do not know, maybe something new - with outposts or gates something to come up with, so that changes a little. But in general, I am personally satisfied with everything in this patch. This patch is plus or minus balanced, a lot of heroes can be used, and gameplay is plus or minus active for most teams.”

Meanwhile, the carry player pointed out his expectation for a change that will make piercing enemy high ground easier, since at present, it is a challenging task and it then causes the game state to become boring because it extends for no apparent reason.

"Another annoying thing is that it's very hard to get on the high ground. I wish they would change that - that you can only enter the high ground with a 30k advantage and you have to let enemies sit at the base for 20 minutes, just farm the whole map and do nothing. Pretty boring, but that's how Dota is now - there's nothing you can do about it.”

According to Valve, patch 7.34 will be released before TI12's regional qualifier. China and North America begin their regional qualifiers on 17th August, so there are a couple of weeks before the new changes are released. As a result, before competing in their matches, the other four regions will have the opportunity to understand the initial aspects of these changes after witnessing China and North America.
