Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Open Beta Dates

Activision has officially announced the upcoming release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and it might shape up to be one of the biggest releases of 2023. The original Modern Warfare 3 is adored by fans and if the remake lives up to the standards set by its predecessor, it could be one of the most successful titles by Activision in recent years. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Open Beta Dates

Insider Gaming’s Tom Henderson shared information from his sources, revealing the beta dates for the game. With Activision set to host a Modern Warfare 3 reveal event on 17th August, we can expect official information regarding the beta dates soon.

• Beta weekend 1 (PlayStation only) – 6th to 10th October

• Beta weekend 2 (All platforms) – 12th to 16th October

• Campaign Early Access (All platforms) – 2nd November

• Full Release (All platforms) – 10th November

• Season 1 Launch / New Warzone Map – 5th December

The open beta dates will align with the two beta weekends. Activision typically hosts the betas for its Call of Duty games with the first two days assigned for those who pre-order the game and the betas are accessible to everyone on the third and fourth days of the beta. So the likely beta dates are going to be: 

• Open Beta Weekend 1 - 9th and 10th October (PlayStation)

• Open Beta Weekend 2 - 15th and 16th October (All platforms)

This is a speculation based on past trends and leaked information so we recommend waiting for the official Call of Duty 2023 reveal event to take place before we can confirm the open beta dates for Modern Warfare 3.

The game is expected to be priced at $69.99 USD for the Standard Edition and $99.99 for the Ultimate Edition. According to Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier and other industry insiders, Modern Warfare 3 will be more of a premium expansion than a fresh new game. Sledgehammer Games is taking charge of the upcoming game/expansion while Treyarch will be responsible for Call of Duty’s 2024 title.
