Honkai: Star Rail’s highly anticipated PlayStation 5 port seems to be at close reach. Several PlayStation users are awaiting the second Hoyoverse title following the success of Genshin Impact on the console. During the recent Gamescom event, the studio unveiled a trailer featuring General Fu Xuan and several other characters, and by the end of it, we got to see that the PlayStation 5 technical test recruitment will be available today. This has gotten many fans enthralled, as this means that PlayStation users no longer have to rely on other devices to play the game. Let’s take a look at how to sign up for the playtesting event.
How to Sign Up for the Honkai: Star Rail Playtest
Apart from the trailer during the Gamescom Night Live showcase, we also saw the official Honkai: Star Rai Twitter account share a sign-up link for the PS5 technical test.

Here’s how you can sign up for the Playtest:

Click on the official link for the test.

Log in or sign up for a Hoyoverse account

Fill in the pre-registration information and complete the recruitment survey

You will be taken back to your home screen which means that you have successfully registered for the playtest.
Keep in mind that the registrations are open from 23rd August till the 28th August. You will be selected at random based on the recruitment survey so make sure you fill in the information carefully, as it cannot be changed once you have registered.
If you are one of the lucky ones to be selected, you will receive a code in your email which you can enter into the PlayStation store to download the test package. You will need at least 30 GB of space to install it and you will also have to make sure your PSN account and Hoyovere accounts are synced. The playtest will start from 4th September and just like the full game this will also be completely free to play.
Furthermore, you will also get rewards based on the number of Trailblazers who have signed up. Everyone who has signed up will receive a 4-Star Cavern Relic Musketeer of Wild Wheat set.
If it crosses 1 Million registrations, you will get access to a 4-Star Light cone called The Seriousness of Breakfast (Erudition). We can assume that these rewards will be added to your account only after the full release on PlayStation 5. At the time of writing, there were around 62,000 people who signed up for the test.
