Following its third victory in the Eastern Europe Dota Pro Circuit (EEU DPC) against Nemiga Gaming, Team Spirit’s support player and captain Yaroslav "Miposhka" Naidenov was taken aside for a winner’s post-match interview.
While he mostly talked about the match against Nemiga Gaming during the interview, he was also asked by the panel about his thoughts behind recruiting former BetBoom Team midlaner Denis "Larl" Sigitov to replace Alexander "TORONTOTOKYO" Khertek.
“We’re doing pretty well with him, despite some setbacks” - Miposhka discusses Larl’s performance
Halfway through the winner’s post match interview according to cybersport.ru, Team Spirit’s Miposhka talked about the team’s process for finding TORONTOTOKYO’s replacement during the off-season before stumbling upon Larl.
“[Question: What were the requirements for the new midlaner?] It's hard to say, it's not like I had any specific requirements in my head, in my mind. It's not that we had a lot of options. We just noticed Denis for ourselves, tried to play with him [during scrims] and realized that he suits our team and playstyle.”
When asked about his thoughts on Larl’s performances during the current competitive tour, he simply replied by saying “I don't know how to say it, he's a nice person and it's nice to play with him. We’re doing pretty well with him at the moment, I think, despite some setbacks.”
While many were skeptical about Larl’s performance as the team’s new midlaner following his second place finish with the team at the BetBoom Xmas Show, Miposhka felt that Larl tends to not worry about his performance following his move despite many criticisms within the community.
“I don`t know, I didn`t ask him much. I think he doesn't really care, he doesn't worry.” he said.
