Thug on Content Creation for Team SouL's Professional BGMI Players: It's very difficult to evolve out of this
The government of India removed BGMI from the Google Play Store and Apple’s App Store in July 2022. Following the ban, a few of Team SouL’s professional BGMI players were inactive on their YouTube and Loco channels for a long time, while others were regularly livestreaming. However, none of them worked as full-time content creators amid the game’s unavailability.
In a recent livestream, while talking about S8UL Esports’ content creators, Thug spoke about Team SouL’s professional BGMI players. “What other options does Team SouL have? They (Team SouL’s players) need to work hard until the game is back,” he said. Following this, Thug explained that it is tough for the players to work as content creators. “For them, it is very difficult to evolve themselves out of this (competitive gaming) and be among the creators. They haven’t really explored this genre (content creation) yet, and I don’t really want to push them into this,” he said.
Team SouL’s in-game leader (IGL), Sahil “Omega” Jakhar, is making efforts to start his content creation journey. Thug revealed that Omega is working on starting a podcast series.
