RodjER Talks About Creation of Darkside & Chemistry Between Ramzes666 & SoNNeikO

Following Darkside’s second victory in the first tour of the Eastern Europe (EEU) Dota Pro Circuit 2023 season, support player Vladimir "RodjER" Nikogosian was pulled aside for a post-match winner’s interview. Following the conclusion of The International 2022 (TI11), RodjER decided to stick together with teammate Akbar "SoNNeikO" Butaev to create a new roster called Darkside while also inviting former teammate Roman "RAMZES666" Kushnarev to become the team’s newest carry.

Despite being only recently established, Darkside are currently top of the EEU DPC league with two wins against NAVI & Nemiga Gaming to its name.

RodjER reassures fans by saying that there is no conflict between Ramzes666 & SoNNeikO

According to cybersports.ru, Darkside’s RodjER talked about the creation of the team amongst other things during the winner’s post-match interview. He also revealed that the decision behind the team’s name was suggested by one of the players.

“Honestly, we just googled "best names for the team" and sat down with the others to choose the name. And then someone suggested Darkside and we decided from there that this would be an okay name for the team. Better than what we were choosing from for sure, so we decided not to choose the ones that we have searched on the internet.”

He then talked about the team’s current morale following its second victory in the regional league, saying that the players were happy and that the team’s recently obtained sponsorship really helped the team.

“We're happy that we can play Dota. We're in the first division and that the wins are coming - that's the main thing. And the fact that we got signed is also great. There is a bootcamp, we met with the organization and the work process is currently going smoothly, so everything is good.”

RodjER then ended the interview by answering a hot topic question regarding the relationship between Ramzes666 & team captain SoNNeikO. However, he reassures the fans that both players are getting along well with each other.

“What are you talking about? They do something together in the evening [during freetime/after matches], go out together, eat together. Everything is fine as there is no conflict between both of them.”

According to recent reports by Escorenews.com, Mind Games founder Dmitriy "IAMMIND" Ivanov has revealed that he had purchased and currently sponsoring Darkside for the 2023 season after previously selling its former DPC slot to BetBoom Team.

While he made it clear that Darkside will retain its name, it will be interesting to see what the team could achieve with proper backing. Darkside’s next opponents will be a tough one, as they will face Virtus.pro on 14th January.
