Naman “MortaL” Mathur, content creator and former professional player from S8UL Esports, recently expressed his admiration for Team XO for their victory in the Snapdragon Pro Series (SPS) New State Mobile Open India. Despite being primarily a Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) team, Team XO was able to successfully adapt to New State Mobile and emerged as champions. MortaL emphasized that Team XO’s success serves as proof to all esports players that if they try, they can achieve anything.
Mortal acknowledges Team XO’s adaptability in SPS New State Mobile Open India Championship
Team XO emerged as the champions of SPS New State Mobile Open India, which was a LAN tournament with a humongous prize pool of ₹1,00,000 INR ($123,000 USD). The team won two Winner Winner Chicken Dinner (WWCD) in twelve matches and secured 96 points with 65 finishes. As the champions, Team XO took home the lion’s share of ₹21,00,000. Notably, Team XO fielded their BGMI roster for New State Mobile as well. Despite primarily being a BGMI team, Team XO did not fall short at any stage of the tournament. The team showed a prime example of versatility and adaptability by succeeding in a different title.
MortaL recently hosted a watch party for the SPS New State Mobile Open India. After the last match of the tournament, MortaL expressed his admiration for Team XO’s victory. “Team XO proved it. They adapted to a new game. The same team adapted to a new game and even won the tournament. They proved it,” he said.
MortaL acknowledged Team XO’s ability to adapt to a new game and win the tournament serves as proof for anyone who had given up or was hopeless. MortaL emphasized that Team XO is a clear example for all esports athletes, showing that success is possible with enough effort and determination. “This is proof for everyone who gave up, those who were hopeless. They (Team XO) have proved that if you try, you can do anything. This is a proof for every esports athlete who probably tried to give up XYZ reasons. Team XO is a clear example for them,” he said.
This is not the first time Team XO has won a New State Mobile tournament. Before this, Team XO also won the Snapdragon Conquest New State Mobile Invitational in December 2022 by a considerable margin. In this tournament, Team XO won four WWCD and accumulated 129 points. The runner-up team, S8UL Esports, won three WWCDs and secured 119 points.
