Activision has collaborated with ESL (Electronic Sports League) Faceit Group to host four seasons of Call of Duty (COD) Mobile Esports from 2023 to 2024. The roadmap was revealed which included two main events - the World Championship and the Snapdragon Mobile Masters. The establishment of a two-year esports structure has hyped up fans and players alike. The 2023 Season will feature a total of $1.5 million USD in cash prizes, including a $1 million USD COD Mobile World Championship Grand Finale and a $200,000 USD Snapdragon Mobile Masters prize pool. The prize pool for the fourth World Championship has been reduced in comparison to the previous event.
COD Mobile Esports 2023 Roadmap
The official Twitter page of ESL Mobile has officially unveiled its partnership with Activision to host two years' worth of exciting esports events for COD Mobile.
An esports roadmap for the mobile shooter title has also been revealed starting with the In-game Solo leading to the Challenge Finals event.
According to the COD Mobile World Championship 2023 roadmap, competitors will begin with In-game Solo Play on 27th April. Players are tasked with playing ranked matches and earning qualification points in this round. In the second stage, participants must form their team with the top squads advancing to the next phase of the tournament.
In Stage 3, eligible teams will compete in all seven regions to advance to the penultimate phase, which will also include cash prizes. It will also be streamed on the Call of Duty Mobile official channel.
After clashing in stages 3 and 4, the top 16 teams from all competing regions will compete for $1 million in prize money in the Grand Finale, which is scheduled to be held sometime in December 2023. The format, prize pool distribution, and stage-by-stage schedule shall be revealed in the near future.
Snapdragon Mobile Masters
The open qualifiers for the Snapdragon Mobile Masters shall kickoff sometime in October. However, the main event for the COD Mobile esports tournament is set to be held in 2024 as part of the Snapdragon Pro Series Season 4.
With two years of action-packed tournaments, it shall be interesting to see COD Mobile continues to expand its esports scene.
