Gods Reign Adds Two International Players to Its Pokemon Unite Division

India-based esports and gaming entertainment organization Gods Reign has signed two international players to its Pokemon Unite roster. Freddy "Kamiru" Shu and Jethro "Mevius" Ping will be a part of Gods Reign’s starting roster for 2023. Both players were formerly a part of Renaissance Esports.

Kamiru and Mevius will be a part of Gods Reign’s competitive roster for 2023

Kamiru and Mevius are both regarded as top players in the Pokemon Unite community. They secured the second runners-up spot at the Pokemon Unite World Championships in 2022. The duo have also secured podium finishes at the GZ Community League in 2022, the Asia Pacific Championship of the Pokemon Unite Championship Series in 2022, and the Aeos Cup in 2022.

Both players have experience competing at the highest levels of play and will be looking to leverage their skill and experience at Gods Reign. Gods Reign secured a win at the Pokemon Unite India Open last year but it failed to capitalize on its momentum and its performances have taken a downward turn since then. The India-based organization will be looking to qualify for the 2023 World Championship via the India qualifiers with its invigorated roster.

The players issued a joint statement saying, “We are excited to be joining Gods Reign Esports. We believe that our skills and experience will be a great asset to the team, and we look forward to working with our new teammates to achieve our goals.”

Gods Reign CEO K. R. Rohith said in an official press release, "We are thrilled to welcome Kamiru and Mevius to our Pokemon Unite team. They bring a wealth of experience and skill to the team, and we believe they will be valuable additions to our roster. We look forward to seeing how they will help us grow and succeed in future tournaments."
