After a brief hiatus, former Burn X Flash Filipino import Jhonwin "Hesa" Vergara had made a comeback to the Cambodian Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) esports scene under Pro Esports. The pro player shall be joining coach John "Zico" Dizon, who joined the team one season earlier. The two Filipino talents previously played under Burn X Flash where they claimed last year’s Mobile Legends Professional League Cambodia (MPL KH) Autumn Split 2022 championship title and won a ticket to the M4 World Championship. However, the squad was met with issues behind the scenes which affected the team's overall performance, leading to it finishing in an upsetting 13th-16th place in the tournament.
Hesa returns under Pro Esports
Both Hesa and Zico made waves in the Cambodian MLBB esports scene after spearheading Burn X Flash to a dominant win in the MPL KH Autumn 2022. However, after their disappointing run in the M4 World Championship, the two Filipino talents were released from the squad.
Zico eventually joined Pro Esports for the Spring Split 2023 where he spearheaded the squad into finishing fourth place in the tournament. The team is looking to fortify its roster as it acquires Hesa, arming itself with two Filipino talents who carried Burn X Flash to a dominant run last year.
“Today we officially welcome Hesa into PRO ESPORTS,” the post captioned.

While most foreign teams have seen big improvements in their performance after acquiring Filipino talents, there are some teams like Bigetron Alpha who failed to capitalize on this due to language barriers. According to its former coach Coach Jian "Pauloxpert" Munsayac the team struggled to build chemistry with Mark "Markyyyyy" Capacio as the pro player lacks fluency in Bahasa, the Indonesian language.
