OG Make It To The Berlin Major - Against All Odds

OG, the team that won ESL One Malaysia and the Stockholm Major has won the final WEU slot for the Berlin Major 2023 by winning its tiebreaker against Ooredoo Thunders. After struggling in the DPC WEU Tour 1 and Tour 2, the team manages to end on a high note by placing fourth in the DPC WEU Tour 2: Division I standings and qualifying for the Berlin Major 2023.

This win was extremely crucial as it allows the team to have a chance at securing more DPC points through the Berlin Major 2023, the next DPC season, and possibly through the Bali Major 2023 as well. The team’s journey to the Berlin Major 2023 has been a tough one, from potentially being relegated to Division II to staying in Division I and even securing a slot at the Major.

The Berlin Major 2023 is the second Major of the 2023 DPC season, featuring 18 of the top teams around the world competing for a massive $500 Thousand USD and 2700 DPC points. The Top 12 teams will advance from the group stages to the playoffs. The Berlin Major will take place from April 26th to May 7th.

From struggling in the DPC to qualifying for the Major: OG’s Comeback

OG has struggled significantly in the DPC WEU Tour 2: Division I, however, the team has managed to bounce back and perform when it mattered. After failing to qualify for the Lima Major 2023, OG is showing signs of life by securing their spot in the Berlim Major 2023. This is also an opportunity for the team to secure much-needed DPC points to qualify for The International 2023.

All of the team’s players have been performing exceptionally well, however, its carry player, Artem "Yuragi" Golubiev, and midlane player Bozhidar "bzm" Bogdanov have had outstanding performances in their series against Entity and Ooredoo Thunders. As a result of their stellar performance, OG will be competing at both DreamLeague Season 19 and the Berlin Major 2023 with a much higher degree of confidence and momentum.

OG's qualification for the Berlin Major 2023 is a testament to the team's resilience and determination. Despite struggling in the early stages of the DPC season, the team was able to turn things around and secure a crucial win against Entity, setting up a tiebreaker match against Ooredoo Thunders.

The team's experience and skill ultimately proved to be the difference in this match, securing their spot in the upcoming Major. Fans of OG will now be eagerly anticipating the team's performance in Berlin, as they look to reclaim their position as one of the top Dota 2 teams in the world.
