League of Legends: Wild Rift Leaks Reveal New Ice Elemental Dragon Coming Soon

League of Legends: Wild Rift may be adding one more Elemental Dragon soon. Data miners have uncovered hints that an Ice Dragon shall be added to the game in one of the upcoming patch updates. Currently, Wild Rift has a total of four types of Elemental Dragons- the Infernal, Ocean, Mountain, and Elder dragons. These dragons provide varying permanent team buffs when slain with the exception of the Elder dragon which only has a temporary but powerful buff. Riot Games is yet to officially confirm the release of the Ice Dragon in Wild RIft. However, data miners speculate that it may be arriving sometime in May 2023.

When is the Wild Rift Ice Dragon releasing?

According to the data miner ChowZ, the Wild Rift Ice Dragon is set to arrive during the patch 4.2 update. More information about the upcoming dragon variant may be revealed sometime between the 15th and 25th May.

Descriptions about the upcoming Wild Rift Ice Dragon is yet to be revealed. However, a fan concept made by ChowZ back in July 2022 gave players an idea of what to expect.

Players should take note that this is only a fanmade concept and does not reflect the buff description of the upcoming Ice Dragon in Wild Rift. Some posts claim this to be the “confirmed” description which is not the case.

Back in 2022, Wild Rift removed the Cloud Dragon as they claim it to have less benefit compared to other Elemental Dragons in the game. Since then, Riot Games is yet to add a replacement for the removed elemental dragon variant despite League of Legends PC having Hextech Dragon which is yet to be released in its mobile counterpart. It will be interesting to see how the Ice Dragon would add more potential strategies for teams to explore in Wild Rift.
