Ammar Reveals Which Team He Would Like To Join

Ammar “ATF” Al-Assaf is currently a player for Nigma Galaxy and was recently benched for Dreamleague Season 19 as the team participated with standin Amer “Miracle-” Al-Barkawi. The team has had disappointing results in recent tournaments, being relegated to Division II at the end of the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) Western Europe (WEU) 2023 Tour 2: Division I. Following this, the team was also invited to the Dreamleague Season 19 tournament only because PSG.LGD was unable to attend due to visa issues, and the team was eliminated in the first group stages. ATF was present in popular Dota 2 streamer Janne “Gorgc” Stefanovski’s recent livestream, where he was asked if he could join any team in the world, which team would he choose?

ATF wants to play for his old team Creepwave

According to ATF, if he could, he would like to play for his old team Creepwave, where many prominent professional players today used to play in. ATF replied to Gorgc asking him which team he would play for and whether it was fun playing with Creepwave. “My first team, only. I mean we played once in DIvision II, we failed, I left the team, worst sh*t i’ve done, of course. But then we came back again and we got two other players, it was Chuvash and bzm (referring to Chu and bzm from OG). And then we won D2CL Season 4. It was before TI10,” he said.

Looking back at the old Creepwave team, it consisted of some of the most talented players that the Dota 2 world has today, in the likes of Bozhidar "bzm" Bogdanov and Evgenii "Chu" Makarov at OG, Remco "Crystallis" Arets, who currently plays for Team Secret, and four members of the current Entity squad in Daniel "Stormstormer" Schoetzau, Tobias "Tobi" Buchner, Dzmitry "Fishman" Palishchuk, and Vladislav "Kataomi`" Semenov. The team had good results, winning the Dota 2 Champions League Season 4, which was one of the events that put the players in the spotlight and led to them being picked up by Tier 1 teams.

ATF is currently a member one of the most popular teams in Dota 2 in Nigma Galaxy, which consists of four out of the five players of the TI7 winning lineup, but was recently benched. With a disappointing season for Nigma Galaxy, the team will have to improve their performance on the international stage consistently in order to make it through to The International 12 by playing the open qualifiers.
