League of Legends: K'Sante Abilities Explained

K'Sante is the newest champion addition to the ever-expanding roster of League of Legends. Riot Games revealed the Shuriman champion last week and made it clear that he would be a tank and a high-skill bruiser in the game. K'Sante’s story in League of Legends takes a beautiful course of love, battle, and self-realization. He is hailed as the Pride of Nazumah and after lessons were learned, K'Sante now knows never again to let ego cloud his judgment. As a warrior, K'Sante vows to protect the land of Nazumah and its citizens and will take the fight against Emperor Azir and Xerath.

In a recent dev blog, Riot Games wrote, “K'Sante is the result of teams across Riot who wanted to create a character who brought something new to League: A tank who shirks his defenses to 1v1 the most terrifying duelists. A man who gives a new look at what it is to be Black in Runeterra and draws inspiration from West African culture.

K'Sante Abilities in League of Legends

Riot Games stated that it wanted to create a Black character like Garen, someone who has issues but is still in charge of their situation in life and their destiny and that’s how they created K'Sante, a paragon of Nazumah.

The following are K'Sante’s abilities:

  • Passive - Dauntless Instinct

  • Q - Ntofo Strikes

  • W - Path Maker

  • E - Footwork

  • R - All Out

Passive

Dauntless Instinct: K'Sante’s damaging abilities mark enemies hit for a short duration. Attacking a marked enemy consumes the mark to deal damage plus max health physical damage.

All Out: Attacking a marked enemy instead deals physical damage and additional max health true damage.

Q - Ntofo Strikes

K'Sante slams his weapon, dealing physical damage in a small area around him, and briefly slows the targets hit. If an enemy is hit, K'Sante gains a stack for a short duration. At two stacks, K'Sante instead fires a shockwave that pulls enemies.

All Out: This ability’s cooldown is reduced and no longer slows targets hit.

W - Path Maker

Begin Charging: K'Sante raises his weapons defensively for a short duration, becoming Unstoppable, and reducing incoming damage.

Release: K'Sante rams forward, dealing a percentage of max health physical damage, knocking back, and stunning enemies he passes through for a short duration based on charge time.

All Out: This ability’s cooldown is refreshed, the damage reduction is increased, it deals an additional amount of physical damage based on charge time, and the charge and dash speed is doubled.

E - Footwork

K'Sante dashes, gaining a shield for a short duration. If dashing to an ally, the distance is significantly increased and they are also Shielded. Other spells can be cast during this ability.

All Out: This ability’s dash speed is increased. Dashing to a targeted location has increased range and can go over walls.

R - All Out

K'Sante shatters his ntofos, dealing physical damage and knocks back an enemy champion. Enemies that hit a wall will take a greater amount of physical damage, are knocked back over the wall and are briefly stunned. K'Sante then dashes after the enemy and goes All Out for an extended duration.

All Out K'Sante loses a percentage of max health, bonus armor, and bonus magic resistance. K'Sante gains attack damage, omnivamp, and transforms his abilities.

Notably, Riot Games has collaborated with Lil Nas X for K'Sante along with the release of the 2022 Worlds anthem: Star Walkin. Lil Nas X has worked with Riot for the Prestige skin of K'Sante and this Prestige Empyrean K'Sante skin will be released on 3rd November. It shall be available until 14th November and will need to be purchased using 2,000 Worlds 2022 tokens obtained via the event pass.
