Misha “Abandons” OG vs Liquid TI11 Group Stage Match Because of Apparent Bug

The match between OG versus Team Liquid in Group A will be delayed and rescheduled, as a bug caused Mikhail “Misha” Agatov to abandon the match after being unable to reconnect. While the match was expected to be a must-watch match for both fans of the team, it seemed like the fans will have to wait as both teams and the tournament organizers will have to figure out what to do following the issue.

The tournament organizers are yet to issue a statement addressing the matter, but the match is expected to resume soon.

Misha abandoned after unable to reconnect

Dota 2 is well-known for having game-breaking bugs from time to time, however the game-breaking bugs decided to affect The International 2022 (TI11) today as the match between heavyweights OG and Team Liquid was forced to be delayed and will be rescheduled after a bug caused OG’s Mikhail “Misha” Agatov to stop the game before it even began.

According to Tommy “Taiga” Le, Misha abandoned the match due to a bug. However, the technical issue proved to be a game-breaking issue as Misha was unable to reconnect to the match as the “reconnect button” was missing from his game’s user interface (UI).

While both Taiga and Bozhidar “bzm” Bogdanov jokingly typed in all chat saying that they could proceed with the match with 4 players against all of Team Liquid, it seems like the game has been put to a halt.

While the technical issue managed to delay the series, the community saw the issue as Valve’s fault as the same issue was reported by players back in 2013 on Reddit.

Earlier this season, after a Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) match between EHOME and Aster.Aries was halted due to an unresolvable bug in the Dota 2 client. But the game was restored using the replay takeover function and it continued from the point where it was stopped due to being impacted by the bug, albeit with new bugs.
