While The International 2022 (TI11) is currently on a short break following the conclusion of the Last Chance Qualifiers, the drama outside of TI11 is spicing up as BeyondTheSummit (BTS) co-founder David "LD" Gorman announced on Twitter that his production studio will not be producing a Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) league for the upcoming season. BTS was known for producing the Southeast Asian (SEA) & Eastern Europe (EEU) DPC leagues, on top of hosting tournaments such as DOTA Summit and BTS Pro Series.
Following the announcement from LD, many within the community reacted to the news with shock.

Earlier this month, Shannon "SUNSfan" Scotten and Troels Lyngholt "syndereN" Nielsen revealed on their podcast that there were certain decisions that Valve had made for the upcoming 2022/2023 DPC season which could prove upsetting for the Dota 2 community as a whole.
However, it seems like one of the decisions has been publicly announced already as BeyondTheSummit (BTS) Co-Founder David "LD" Gorman announced on Twitter that BTS will not be producing a DPC league next season. He also revealed that it is unclear whether the studio will continue producing Dota content going forward.
“Personally a terrible and sad day for me, and I know for much of the team here at BTS. We won't be producing a DPC league next year, and honestly it's unclear if we'll be doing any DOTA content at all moving forward. Such an amazing game and community that has given me everything.” said LD.
LD then went on to say that while his production studio was not entitled to the exclusive coverage of the DPC League, he is hurt by the lack of communication and acknowledgement by the Dota 2 developers, Valve.
“To be clear, we aren't entitled to shit, production gigs are earned not given, and it's completely fine that we weren't the choice, there's plenty of other great options. What hurts is the (lack of) communication & acknowledgement and the way the news was delivered after 10 years.” said LD.
Following the announcement on Twitter, many within the Dota 2 community sympathized with LD while others reacted with disappointment & anger.

One of the stage hosts for TI11, Sheever expressed her disappointment at the news while also saying that the decision by Valve will leave a hole in the Dota 2 community.
So sad to read this, that sucks. You've always had your own style of doing good shows with a great relaxed atmosphere mixed with high quality production. It will leave a hole in dota2 :(

While this announcement is already making the community lose faith in Valve, the community might want to brace themselves for more disappointment following TI11’s conclusion as SUNSfan hinted at a possible announcement which may majorly upset the fans.
